About the writer

Mia Johnson

I write every guide on The Bra Bible. One writer, one voice, no anonymous “we” and no content team.

Why this site exists

I spent years in the wrong bra size. Nothing I owned was defective — the bands were too loose, the cups too small, and no one had explained that band and cup are two separate measurements. Once that made sense, the discomfort did too, and it became fixable. The Bra Bible is where I write all of it down so someone else does not have to work it out in a changing room.

How a guide gets written

Every guide follows the same process, and none of it involves a laboratory:

  1. Start from the sizing systems, not from a product. Band-and-cup maths, sister sizing, and the conversion tables brands publish for US, UK, EU and AUS sizing.
  2. Compare what brands actually publish. Size charts are read side by side, because a 34E is not the same 34E in every label — and the guide says so where that gap matters.
  3. Answer the questions readers send. Fit questions, corrections and complaints from the contact form decide what gets rewritten next.
  4. Revise rather than republish. Each guide is one maintained page, dated at the top. When a standard or a chart changes, the page changes — a second, shorter version of the same article is never published alongside it.

What this site does not claim

No laboratory, no clinical trials, no paid placements. Nothing here is a medical device or medical advice, and where a bra is described as supportive rather than corrective, that distinction is deliberate. Product links are Amazon Associates links, disclosed on every page and in the affiliate disclosure; no brand pays for a recommendation or reviews a guide before it goes up.

Corrections

If a size chart, a conversion or a fit instruction on this site is wrong, tell me through the contact page and it gets fixed on the page. Corrections are the most useful email this site receives.
